eSIM not connecting? 7 fixes that work

Landed, switched on your eSIM, and nothing? Don't worry. Most connection problems take a minute to fix. Work through these steps in order.
Before anything else: don't delete the eSIM. In most cases a deleted eSIM can't be installed again.
1. Turn on data roaming for the eSIM
This is the most common fix. A travel eSIM needs data roaming on to connect to local networks. It's safe, and it won't add charges because your plan is prepaid.
- iPhone: Settings → Mobile Service → your SimOrbit line → Data Roaming.
- Android: SIM settings → your SimOrbit eSIM → Roaming.

2. Make sure the eSIM is your mobile data line
Your phone might still be using your home SIM for data.
- iPhone: Settings → Mobile Service → Mobile Data → choose your SimOrbit line.
- Android: SIM settings → Mobile data → choose the SimOrbit eSIM.
3. Check the eSIM line is switched on
On iPhone, tap the SimOrbit line and check Turn On This Line. On Android, make sure the eSIM toggle is on in SIM settings.
4. Restart your phone
Simple, but it works surprisingly often. Or turn Airplane mode on for 10 seconds, then off again.
5. Pick a network manually
Your phone might be trying to join a network your plan doesn't use.
- iPhone: Settings → Mobile Service → your SimOrbit line → Network Selection → turn off Automatic and pick a network.
- Android: SIM settings → your eSIM → Network operators → turn off Automatic and pick one.
Your plan details in My eSIMs list the supported networks.
6. Check the APN
Most eSIMs set the APN automatically. If your plan details list a specific APN, check it matches under Mobile Data Network (iPhone) or Access Point Names (Android).
7. Make sure your plan is active
Check My eSIMs in your SimOrbit account. Make sure the plan is for the country you're in and hasn't run out of data or validity.
